Plot Summary

The World Summit Camp has just begun. It’s a three-week program for middle-school students to learn about different cultures while enjoying all the pleasures of a summer camp. Each student is assigned to study one of three different countries, thus forming three teams: Team Italy, Team France, and Team Switzerland. The countries compete in a series of friendly competitions–an Olympics of the mind and body. The team captains of Team Italy and Team France, however, have completely missed the purpose of the summer program, striving to win at all costs. Even their adult mentors have gotten out of hand. All anyone cares about is winning. Luckily, Team Switzerland understands the point of The World Summit Camp. But can a few determined students help Team France and Team Italy make peace?
